A big congratulations to Chris and Ashley Manley on their first little girl, Ms. Lydia Ann Manley! She was born at 7:15am on March 14th weighing in at 5lbs, 12oz and has an amazing head of hair!

A guitar’s tuning is rather strange.  The strings are separated in pitch by inconsistent intervals that were designed to make a few chords and patterns easier for your fingers to form.  Listen to folk music with an untrained ear and you’ll hear familiar changes and progressions.  They are pleasant and time-tested, but hardly represent the possible combinations of sounds that can be made with six strings worth of tone.

Yesterday I took a big leap of faith.  The last time I took this leap, I passed out.  Not a great experience.  On to the story – I was at my church dropping something off on Monday afternoon.  A fellow member stopped me in the hallway and asked me if I was there for the blood drive.  I told him no, but said “if you have an opening, I can try.”
